Trainer Bio:
Hello, I am Alex and this is my third year competing in Teens and Oregon Mustangs, this year I have a bay gelding named Augustus aka Gus, he is from the Murders Creek herd management area.
Augustus never fails to amaze me, he is honestly the most willing, well mannered, trusting horse i have ever met! Everything I ask him to do he does with little or no hesitation at all. I can now pick up all 4 feet regular and fairer style, he walks over tarps, has been sacked out, lunges, loads in and out of a trailer and backs out too,and bathes, he did all of theses things with out hesitation! He is also working on haunch turns and forehand turns along with other showmanship elements.
I have had Richie for two weeks now. He is so willing and sweet! He does some showmanship; walking, trotting, side pass, haunch turns, and forehand turns. He has gone over a bridge, poles, and a tarp and loads in and out of the trailer, and lunges.
Augustus and I were in the St. Paul Rodeo Parade with the other teens and their mustangs. He did great! So relaxed and greeted the crowds so confidently, nothing phases him! He’s just amazing!
Gus did fantastic at Yamhill County Fair! I’m so proud of him! He just loves attention and has such a warm soul.
Now’s your chance to place your bid to take Gus home here on this website! Come watch Gus and I compete Aug 23rd at Yamhill County Fairgrounds and place your bid and win Gus at the live auction, following the competition. See you there!
