Trainer Bio:
Since she was first brought home, Dessa has been extremely inquisitive and very people oriented. Dessa’s intelligent and friendly personality are sure to aid her in becoming a fantastic partner, no matter what discipline she ends up pursing. My goal is to help Dessa develop into a trusting, safe, confident, and outgoing horse. I hope to help her maintain her natural curiosity while working with people and enjoying her job.

I am extremely proud of how quickly Dessa has progressed. She trailers very well, and enjoys going to new barns and locations. Dessa experienced the farrier for the first time and did very well. She cooperated the entire time and all four of her hooves were trimmed. I am impressed with the brave disposition Dessa approaches obstacles with, as she remains curious instead of fleeing. I enjoy spending time and working with Dessa because she is such a sweet and special horse.

Dessa and I have been working hard very hard, and it has paid off! She did super well at both 4-H pre-fair and horse fair. I am proud to say that Dessa qualified for state horse fair. We will be competing in showmanship, in-hand trail, and ground training. At our county fair, Dessa and I medallioned in ground training. Not only was she a dream in the show ring, she was calm and collected in the busy barns, warm-up arena, and all over the grounds. Dessa took everything in stride as though staying in new places was something she is very experienced with!
