Samm & Scooter

Hi this is Samm and this is my mustang Scooter. On day 2 I was able to take his tag and halter off. He was leading,lounging,brushing and picking up all four feet by day five. We are working on showmanship,desensitizing, and obstacles this week. Scooter is a quick learner and is easy to work with. He is filling out nicely.
Scooter is doing great we are practicing showmanship, he trots while leading, and off-line lounging, leading, and other stuff. Also he loves going outside and exploring. He has also been jumping over barrels. He is very smart.
Scooter has come a long way since day one. He was in a parade and did awesome. He has had his feet done, been loaded in the trailer and been ponyed. We have been working on haunch and forehand turns, and obstacles. He loves walks and baths on hot days. My mom taught him how to smile. He loves cookies and grain. He is let out to pasture and enjoys it very much.
Scooter and I now have about 11 day left till the competition. So we are really working hard on showmanship, obstacles, and freestyle. He is doing really amazing at all his tricks. He smiles on command really good now. He sticks his turns perfectly and is awesome at sidepassing. We have a lesson on showmanship on the 21st to help us really get ready for the competition. He is super tall he is about 14.2 and 1/2 hands but is so sweet. He loads, ties, stands for the farrier, saddles, clips, bows, smile’s, and alot more. Everyone would be lucky to have this amazing gentle giant of a horse:)
