Samm & J.T.

Hey everyone, I picked up my mustang about a week ago! I named him “J.T” short for Joey Takoda, “Takoda” meaning friend to all in Lakota Sioux. J.T has been nothing short of a great horse. We are currently are working on basic showmanship maneuvers and lounging. He is blanketed, and it sure didn’t take him long enough to enjoy grain lol. The journey has just begun, and I’m very excited to be able to take part of it with J.T.
A month in and J.T has been doing awesome! We’ve been working on showmanship and trail obstacles. We’ve had a playdate with harlequin the mustang and are headed out to McIver park with them soon! He is learning tricks, as well as being tied, trailered, and desensitized to lots of unique obstacles!
Wow, time just flies! I’m very impressed with J.T’s progress, he’s very friendly but also very smart. Besides the basics he knows a few tricks! He’s been very responsive lately when it comes to turns, surpassing, etc. His owner is going to be one lucky person!
